Defender Dimensions

The Defender cabinet was a cool cabinet, take a look at the dimensions...

Note: The old dimensions are OBSOLETE! I have reproduced the Defender Cabinet in Google SketchUp which is WAAAAY more accurate and easier to build from since it's a 3D model.

If you have a Defender and would compare the dimensions of my Model with your actual Defender, that would be greatly appreciated. You can email me if you find something that doesn't match yours.Email

You can download the Google Sketchup file here:

Everything below here is Obsolete! You can ignore this information, it was only left here for Historical reasons.

Note: These dimensions might be slightly off (up to 1/8") since I measured it myself :-) This version is a lot closer than the old version.

The cabinet is made from 3/4" plywood. I split the side shot into two pictures because of the number of measurements that were needed. If you plan on building one of these from scratch, then you will have to figure out the angles, etc.. from the different measurements. The shot of the back is for the measurement of the door. If someone needs more measurements, please feel free to drop me an @EMAIL@ and tell me which part you need.

Defender Control Panel. Measurements are from the bottom and the left.

The Cabinet is 26" wide. The back and top of the cabinet are flush with the sides. The front is as follows:

Kick Plate - Inset 20/32"
Coin Door Panel - Inset 20/32"
Control Panel - Inset 10/32"
Monitor/Front Glass - Inset 1 20/32" at the bottom
Monitor/Front Glass - Inset 1 24/32" at the top
Speaker - Inset 24/32"
Marquee - Inset 6/32" If someone needs a picture of the front REALLY bad, then I'll consider drawing one up. Until then, enjoy!

Comment: I used the black and green drawing to build my cabinet back in 2003. It's not perfect, but it's been a lot of fun to play over the years anyway. Thanks so much.
