Alphanumerics and sky missing
Repair of:
Pole Position(Namco (Atari license) 1982)
Repair Type:
Game
Status:
Fixed
Contributed by:
mkillewald
Symptom:
No alphanumerics displayed on screen and sky is missing.
Solution:
Found that if I apply pressure to video pcb on top right corner the symptons would go away. Found pin 15 of socketed namco custom IC at 8N was not making good contact with socket. Socket should be replaced, however, I ran a temporary jumper from pin 15 of IC to suitable location nearby that it traced out to. Alphanumerics and sky returned.
Please wait…
